C Boys Water Polo Final 2008

ACS (I) beat Hwa Chong Institution 13-8 in the School's National C Division Water Polo Final played at ITE College East on March 28, 2008.

The ACSians was the stronger team with sharper finishing. Hwa Chong Institution put up a gutsy display to keep the goal deficit respectable.

ACS's strategy was to hold tight and launch counter-attacks, captain Lim Churn Yi said.

''We are very happy that we finally got back the gold medal after three years,'' added Churn Yi.

According to him, the team was very serious during training and the players gave 100 percent.

For coach Luo Nan, it is the first team of players that he has coached from rookies to champions.

He said: ''The team's strength is its good basic water polo skills, superior swimming ability and fitness.''

Mr Ho Yee Cheong, who has been at the helm of ACS(I) water polo for about two decades, is happy to have a committed Secondary Two cohort that rose to the challenge.
