C Rugby 2010 Final: ACS (I) vs RI

They fought a good fight but in the end, the ACSians relinquished their 13-year-old hold on the rugby C Division Goh Keng Swee Shield when they lost 5-8 to the Rafflesians at the CCAB on Aug 5.

Neither team chalked up a point in the first half.

In the second half, RI stormed ahead with a try and penalty. The ACSians narrowed the deficit in the final second with a try.

Said ACS(I) coach Adrian Chong: “The boys (ACSians) kept their discipline, fought to the end and were rewarded with a try, which unfortunately, was quite academic by then.

“But to me it showed true character, which I think all coaches should hope to achieve in any sport, not just the victory.”
