B Boys Water Polo Final 2008

ACS (I) met ACS (Barker Rd) in the final of the 2008 Schools' National B Division Water Polo Championships played on 8 April at the CCAB pool.

ACS (Barker Rd) was the team to beat in this year's competition.

In a preliminary match, ACS (Barker Rd) defeated ACS (I) 14-3.

Going into the final, ACS(I) was a much improved team with more cohesive teamwork. In the early quarters of the final game, ACS(I) managed to match point-for-point against its brother school but was unable to create an upset.

Said ACS (Barker Rd)'s captain, Rahul Shankar Pandey: ''We started cautiously against ACS(I) but we weren't affected by the close margin in the earlier quarters. We gradually picked up our game and never doubted we would win.''

''We have a strong team this year so we train not only to win the tournament but to be unbeaten in every game we play,'' added Rahul.

It was mission accomplished for the Barker Road boys when the team maintained its winning streak with a 10-7 score in the final.
