B Rugby 2011 Final: ACS(I) vs St Andrew's

A Facebook post on the eve of this year's B Division rugby final reads: "No matter whats gonna happen tmr, something dont change, and that is we are forever n always bro (:"

It turned out to be a hard-fought final the day after, when ACS (I) met St Andrew's Secondary at the Home Team Academy on April 7.

The ACSians led with a 22nd-minute try by Barry Ann Jie Xun. The first half ended 5-0, which also turned out to be the final score.

ACS(I) supporters had to endure a nerve-racking second half. The action took place almost entirely in the ACSians' half, with Saints threatening to turn the game around at various points.

However, ACS(I)'s tenacious defence held up admirably when under threat and for that, the ACSians sealed their victory and an 11th B Division title.

Said ACS(I) captain Samuel Teo: "Saints did a very good job; I give credit to them.

"But I guess we are the better team today. The pressure was intense but we were able to hold on to the good start that we had."
