At the end of the second quarter, ACS (I) was still unable to take the lead as several of their shots at goal went astray. Hwa Chong, on the other hand, capitalised on their chances and they managed to end this quarter tied at 3-3.
It was only in the third quarter that the ACSians started to settle down and stamp their authority. By the end of this quarter, ACS(I) was leading 6-4. They finally stormed home to win the match 10-5.
Said ACS(I) captain, Ooi Yee Jia: ''We were playing in our first school final and were nervous. We expected the result to be close but we believed we could win on the strength of the team.''
